Install manually

The Chrome Web Store version is temporarily unavailable. Until it is back, install AI Chat Handoff by hand:

  1. Download the extension (.zip).
  2. Unzip it and keep the folder somewhere permanent, such as Documents. Deleting or moving it removes the extension.
  3. In Chrome, open chrome://extensions.
  4. Turn on Developer mode (top right).
  5. Click Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder (the one containing manifest.json).

Manual installs don't update automatically. To update, download the new zip, replace the folder contents and click reload on the extension card in chrome://extensions. Your settings and license are kept.

Chrome may show a notice about developer mode extensions. That's expected for manual installs. Dismiss it and don't choose Disable. Some work or school computers block Developer mode.

Bought Pro? Activating it from this site works with the manual version. If it doesn't, open the extension popup, then License settings, paste your key under Enter license key and click Activate.
