SeriesKeeper · Events Calendar Pro renewal

EVENTS CALENDAR PRO RENEWAL AFTER 16 NOVEMBER: KEEP RECURRING EVENTS FOR $49.

From your next renewal on or after 16 November 2026, Events Calendar Pro is only sold inside the Nexcess software package, from $350 a year for one site. If recurring events were the main reason you paid for Pro, you can stay on the free The Events Calendar, keep your pages and links, and add only that.

What changes on 16 November

  • The Events Calendar, LearnDash, Give and Kadence are sold as one package. The 1-site plan is $350 per year; larger plans cover 10 to 100 sites (Nexcess pricing).
  • Single products are no longer sold. Nexcess: “Can I still buy just one product? No.”
  • Your current plan stays as it is until your next renewal on or after 16 November; then you are moved to the package unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel (Nexcess software packages FAQ).

Your options

  • Renew the package. Best if you also use other Pro or package features (ticketing, seating, views, LearnDash, Give, Kadence).
  • Switch calendar plugin (for example Events Manager or another calendar). This usually means moving events, new page URLs and new templates.
  • Stay on the free The Events Calendar and add only recurring events with an add-on, such as SeriesKeeper or Bazingaworld's free plugin.

Stay on free The Events Calendar with SeriesKeeper

SeriesKeeper is a planned small add-on, not a replacement calendar. You keep the free The Events Calendar, your theme and your existing event pages and links, and you get recurring events without Pro: daily, weekly, monthly by date or by weekday (“2nd Sunday”), ending on a date or after N times, with skipped dates. Each date is a normal event. It is not a full Pro replacement: no week, map or photo views, no Filter Bar, no yearly rules. Full feature list and limitations.

Moving your Pro series

  • Importing your existing Events Calendar Pro dates is beta. It turns the future dates Pro already created into normal events, shows a preview first, and has a one-click Undo. It never deletes your Pro data.
  • Old Pro occurrence URLs are not redirected.
  • The recurrence pattern is not imported; you confirm it in a pre-filled form. Take a backup first.

Price, delivery, refund

  • $49 for the first year, 1 site, one-time payment, no VAT added.
  • Delivery by 15 November 2026 by email.
  • If it isn't delivered by then, you get a full refund, no request needed. You can also cancel any time before delivery for a full refund. Pre-sale terms.

FAQ

Will my site break if I don’t renew Events Calendar Pro?

According to Nexcess’s FAQ, not renewing has no impact on your site, but you no longer receive support, automatic updates or security patches.

When does my plan change?

Nexcess says the change happens at your next renewal on or after 16 November 2026, and that renewal reminders go out 30 days before you are charged. You can turn off auto-renewal or cancel before your renewal date.

Is there a free alternative?

Yes. Bazingaworld’s Recurring Events for The Events Calendar (free on wordpress.org) adds daily and weekly rules to the free The Events Calendar; its Pro version adds monthly and yearly rules for $49 per year per site. It does not import series from Events Calendar Pro. If you only need daily or weekly rules and are starting fresh, it may be all you need.

What does SeriesKeeper add?

Recurring rules (daily, weekly, monthly by date or weekday, end date or count, skipped dates), one-click duplicate, and a beta import of the future dates Events Calendar Pro already created, with preview and Undo.

Is it a pre-order?

Yes. $49 for the first year, 1 site, no VAT added. Delivery by 15 November 2026 by email. If it is not delivered by then, you get a full refund, no request needed. You can also cancel any time before delivery for a full refund.
