STAY ON THE FREE THE EVENTS CALENDAR. GET RECURRING EVENTS WITHOUT PRO.

SeriesKeeper is a planned small add-on, not a replacement calendar. You keep the free The Events Calendar, your theme and your existing event pages and links (same URLs), and you get recurring events without Pro, for $49 for the first year. Importing your existing Events Calendar Pro recurring dates is beta: it imports future dates with a preview and one-click Undo. Old Pro occurrence URLs from imported series are not redirected; see the limitations below.

Pre-orders open soon. Planned price $49 for the first year (1 site), delivery target 15 November 2026. Leave your email and we'll tell you when pre-orders open.

We only use your email to tell you when pre-orders open. No payment now. See our privacy policy.

When pre-orders open: full refund if not delivered by 15 Nov 2026 or if it doesn't work on your site.

What you get at launch

  • Recurring rules for the free The Events Calendar: daily, weekly (one or more weekdays), monthly by date or by weekday (“2nd Sunday”), ending on a date or after N times, with skipped dates.
  • Each date is a normal event. Dates are created up to 12 months ahead and work with your theme, calendar views and search. If you remove SeriesKeeper, the created events stay.
  • Duplicate an event in one click, with venue, organizer and categories.
  • Import from Events Calendar Pro (beta): reads the future dates Pro left in your database and turns them into normal events. It shows a preview first. To avoid the same date appearing twice, it moves the old Pro date rows into a backup table instead of deleting them, and a one-click Undo puts them back and removes the imported events.

Leaving the Nexcess software package? Keep only what you used

If recurring events were the reason you paid for Pro, you can stay on the free The Events Calendar and add only that. SeriesKeeper does not try to replace the rest of the package.

Honest limitations

  • This is not a full Events Calendar Pro replacement: no week, map or photo views, no Filter Bar, no additional fields, no yearly rules, no editing of a single date inside a series.
  • Pro import is beta. On our test site (free The Events Calendar 6.18.2 with Pro-style data) the import created each future date once, the calendar showed no duplicates, and Undo restored the original state. It has not yet been run on a real Pro database. If it fails on your site, you get a full refund.
  • Import only takes future dates that Pro already created. Dates beyond Pro's generation limit are added when you confirm the pattern in SeriesKeeper.
  • Run Undo before reactivating Pro. Reactivating Pro while imported events exist can show dates twice.
  • Dates you edited or detached individually in Pro are imported as they are stored; check them in the preview.
  • Old occurrence URLs are not redirected.
  • The recurrence pattern is not imported. You confirm it in a pre-filled form.
  • Tickets for recurring events are not covered.
  • Requires WordPress with the free The Events Calendar 6.x installed.

Pricing

$49 — 1 site, first year (planned pre-sale price)

Includes the plugin, updates for new The Events Calendar releases and email support for 12 months from delivery. The pre-sale is a one-time payment. You will not be charged again automatically. Before year 2 we will ask whether you want to renew at $49/year. If you don't renew, the plugin and your events keep working, only updates and support stop.

FAQ

Is this a pre-order?

Pre-orders open soon; right now you can join the list, no payment is taken. The plugin is in development. Planned delivery is by 15 November 2026. If it is not delivered by then, you get a full refund automatically, by 22 November 2026 at the latest.

Do I need Events Calendar Pro?

No. SeriesKeeper works with the free The Events Calendar. The Pro import is a beta feature for people leaving Pro.

Do I need to migrate to another calendar plugin?

No. You stay on the free The Events Calendar, your theme and calendar pages.

Will deactivating Pro delete my events?

In our understanding of The Events Calendar's code, no, the event data stays in the database. Always take a backup first. SeriesKeeper's import never deletes anything.

Will my events show up twice after import?

Not in our tests on a test site with Pro-style data: the old Pro date rows are moved to a backup table, so each date appears once. It has not yet been run on a real Pro database. Reactivating Pro while imported events exist can show dates twice, so run Undo first. If you see duplicates, click Undo and tell us; you get a full refund if we cannot fix it.

Can I go back to Pro?

Yes. Click Undo first, then reactivate Pro. Your Pro data was never deleted.

What if it does not work on my site?

Ask for a refund within 30 days of delivery and you get your money back in full. EU/EEA customers also keep their 14-day right of withdrawal.

Can I try it before paying?

Not yet, because it will be a pre-sale. That's why the refund applies after delivery as well.
